BARBARA RANDALL KESEL started her comics career with a writing assignment for DC Comics. Dick Giordano then recruited her as an associate editor, working first with Marv Wolfman on the New Teen Titans titles and eventually on most of the DC line. She developed the first mainstream gaming-related comics by turning TSR’s Dragonlance, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, Forgotten Realms, etc., into popular comic books.
Writing assignments for DC included Batgirl, Hawk & Dove, and Spelljammer series.

Moving to Oregon, Barbara then joined the staff of Dark Horse Comics as employee #12 of the emerging company. She developed and edited many titles there, including Hellboy, Star Wars, Aliens, and Indiana Jones comics. She also wrote for and helped develop Dark Horse’s CGW line and spent three years as Managing Editor.

Leaving to pursue a freelance life, she wrote comics for Wildstorm (now part of DC), DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, and did freelance editing for Flypaper Press and others.

In 1999, Barbara was recruited by Mark Alessi to create the CrossGen universe. CG represented an attempt to recreate the bullpen environment that spawned the early Marvel titles. Writers and artists who usually worked in independent studios were brought together as employees. Barbara’s job as Head Writer was to write two monthly titles and oversee continuity on all others, as well as maintain the company’s concept bible. The company collapsed, but the properties are being revived by Marvel Comics.

Since 2004, Barbara has been a creative gun for hire and continues to develop, write and edit properties for a growing list of comics and other media clients.

NEO EDMUND graduated from the UCLA screenwriting semesters program, and then quickly became a creative development executive at Platinum Studios.  After 2 years he went freelance and began writing as a gun for hire for many different companies for FILM, TELEVISION, FEATURE ANIMATION, and COMICS projects.

He has written for companies including ZENESCOPE, SILVER DRAGON BOOKS, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, ANIMAL PLANET, SPIKE TV, JUMP START INTERACTIVE, BRANDED FILMS, and GENETIC ENTERTAINMENT.

Neo has just finished writing an episode for HUB TV animated series entitled “Rise of the Dual Masters”.

Neo co-wrote an animated feature script for China Film Group with the legendary Marv Wolfman, and is currently working on a new Y.A. werewolf-novel series “Children of the Moon.”

JIM KRUEGER graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Journalism. He won two Addy Awards during his first year as a copywriter. A year later he became a creative director at Marvel Comics and has since become a freelance comic book writer/property creator.

His original works include the Foot Soldiers, Alphabet Supes, The Clock Maker and the soon-to-be-released, The Last Straw Man. His first short film, They Might Be Dragons, which he wrote, directed, and produced won "Best In Class" at NYU and a "Best Short Film" award from The New York Independent Film Festival.
Other comic book writing includes the award-winning Earth X trilogy for Marvel Comics, as well as Avengers, X-Men, Star Wars, Matrix and Batman, and he has since introduced two new comic book formats.

On the drawing board are such projects as Micronauts, Galactic for Dark Horse Entertainment, The Lion (a C.S. Lewis-like fantasy), and a new short film called "Looking Out For No. One (or is that No One?)" and the Justice League for DC Comics.
Jim is also president and publisher of his own comic book entertainment company, 26 Soldiers, and was named as one of the top ten writers in comics and an innovator in the field by Wizard Magazine.

ART HOLCOMB began his writing career in the sixth grade (at age 13) when one of his plays was professionally performed by the American Conservatory Theater.

He has published poetry, essays and short stories and has written more than 50 comic book stories for franchises such as THE X-MEN, as well as original and licensed properties for Defiant, Valiant, Acclaim, Big Entertainment, FUNimation, Marvel  Comics, DC Comics.  His screen work has appeared on UPN, the Sci-Fi Channel and the SHOWTIME Channel.

He is the co-founder and former Editor-in-Chief of the creative development firm ANDROMEDA ENTERTAINMENT, which adapts screenplays into graphic novels, creating one of the earliest sources of “illustrated screenplays”. 

He has sold to the STAR TREK television franchise at Paramount Studios and worked on projects with the Gene Roddenberry Estate. He has also written for the critically acclaimed animation series SHADOW RAIDERS, as well as consulted for several video game companies, film production companies and publishing houses.

He is a regular contributor on fiction and screenwriting to STORYFIX.COM, ranked one of the top fiction writing sites on the internet, and is a lecturer on scriptwriting and comic book / graphic novel writing at the University of California.  

His most recent screenplay is FINAL DOWN (a NFL team disaster film) and is completing a work book for writers entitled The Pass:  A Proven System for Getting Quickly from Notion to Finished Manuscript. 

His children’s story, Oliver and the Four-Piece Regency-Style Bedroom Set of Death is being adapted for the screen.
