is the author of DAWN AWAKENS, a
collection of spiritual / metaphysical prose. This work links together into four
different phases resulting in a human spiritual transformation from awakening
to a state of heightened awareness and elevation.
The poetry is written with a simplistic approach to
complex subject matter, the likes of DNA. Combining imagery and language patterns
the collection emphasizes an almost- mystical approach to personal and collective
growth . It explores the relative complexities of human nature and interaction,
highlighting along the way qualities relating to belief and love in various forms.
References to nature and the cosmos are interspersed placing the individual within
what may be viewed as a wider context of being. DAWN AWAKENS leads the reader
to explore the mind and even wonder just What does the writer believe?
Dawn
Marie Anderson has worked in the Fashion and Entertainment Industries and in
The Performing Arts as a dancer , actress and singer in New York City. After
a personal crisis, she experienced a spiritual awakening. “These” writings
came in sessions similar to “automatic writing” and are the results
of that transformative time in her life. Set on a new path of healing, she was
led to new work with crystals, flower essences, herbs, healing modalities, and
vegetarianism. She became a Reiki Practitioner and moved to Los Angeles, California,
where she currently lives and works on healing and the arts.
Her book of poetry, DAWN Awakens is by Joshua Tree Publishing.

In Murder in the Métro, Gayle
K. Brunelle and Annette Finley-Croswhite unravel Toureaux’s complicated
and mysterious life, assessing her complex identity within the larger political
context of the time. They follow the trail of Toureaux’s murder investigation
to the Comité Secret d’Action Révolutionnaire, a secret right-wing
political organization popularly known as the Cagoule, or “hooded ones.” Obsessed
with the Communist threat they perceived in the growing power of labor unions
and the French left wing, the Cagoule’s leaders aimed to overthrow France’s
Third Republic and install an authoritarian regime allied with Italy.
With
Mussolini as their ally and Italian fascism as their model, they did not shrink
from committing violent crimes and fomenting terror to accomplish their goal.
In 1936, Toureaux—at the behest of the French police—infiltrated
this dangerous group of terrorists and seduced one of its leaders, Gabriel Jeantet,
to gain more information. By examining documents related to Toureaux’s
murder—documents the French government has sealed from public view until
2038—Brunelle and Finley-Croswhite link Toureaux’s death not only
to the Cagoule but also to the Italian secret service, for whom she acted as
an informant. Their research provides likely answers to the question of
the identity of Toureaux’s murder and offers a fascinating look at the
dark and dangerous streets of pre-World War II Paris.
Gayle K. Brunelle is a professor of history at California
State University at Fullerton and the author of The New World Merchants of
Rouen, 1559–1630.
Annette Finley-Croswhite is a professor of history and
chair of the department of history at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
She is also the author of Henry IV and the Towns: The Pursuit of Legitimacy
in French Urban Society, 1589-1610.

What If?…a reflection on hair is
a book that asks children a series of fun, light questions which leads them to
ponder the BIG question: if you have different hair, or no hair at all, would
you be a different person? It emphasizes that each and every one of us is so
beautiful exactly as we are. It helps children value diversities of appearance
using hair as an example and is a perfect vehicle to introduce children at a
young age to the concept of accepting oneself and others exactly as we are. It
will aid them in coming to grips with the self image issues that can affect them
throughout life.
This
book is also very inspiring for children who have hair loss either from alopecia
or during and after cancer treatments or brain surgery.
Samia Boctor is a first time children’s
author. She considers her book, What if...a reflection on hair, a work
of love that sends young readers the message that they are so beautiful exactly
as they are. She also wants to remind parents, friends and family to constantly
echo this message to their kids and to each other.
Samia is a physician, wife, mother, and grandmother.
She has been working with student health departments at universities in the Los
Angeles area for many years. Samia lived and studied in Egypt, Canada, and the
USA. She has been living in the Los Angeles area for the past 30 years. She enjoys
hiking, dancing, and travel.

In the coffee-table book Everybody I Shot Is Dead,
photographer/author Deborah Chesher pays tribute to forty-eight musicians
she shot in Vancouver and Los Angeles between 1974 and 1979, who have since passed
away. With access to the world of rock’n’roll that most can only
dream of, she not only captured amazing images of these legendary performers,
but also personal memories and captivating behind-the-scenes stories.
Chesher’s collection of over four hundred of her
never-before-seen iconic photographs is accompanied by biographies and her personal
reflections of a time when music was the magic that drove a generation.
Deborah
Chesher began her creative adventures as a rock and roll photographer and journalist
in Vancouver, B.C. She shot hundreds of concerts up and down the west coast,
including groups such as Led Zeppelin, Elton John, the Eagles, George Harrison,
and the Bee Gees, to name a few. She relocated to Los Angeles with the idea to
do a book featuring art by musicians, believing that a person with one creative
talent could also be equally talented in another.
The result was coffee-table book Starart, showcasing the fine art of Joni
Mitchell, John Mayall, Cat Stevens, Klaus Voormann, Commander Cody, and Ron Wood
of the Rolling Stones. Starart debuted in 1980 to rave reviews and was
featured in publications across the country, including Rolling Stone, People
and Playboy. Deborah produced art gallery shows of original works from Starart,
with gala openings attended by the artists in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco
and Laguna Beach.
She then fulfilled her dream to work in film, freelancing as a still photographer,
designer and reader before accepting a staff position at Cannon Pictures as the
Creative Director in advertising and marketing. Her efforts were instrumental
in garnering millions of dollars in foreign, domestic feature and video revenues.
She left Cannon to start her own design company, providing creative advertising
services to 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. and many independent production and
distribution companies.
Deborah produced and starred in Final Placement at the Tiffany Theater
in Los Angeles, raising thousands of dollars for the child abuse charity, Childhelp
USA. She also recently produced the filming of a Mick Fleetwood concert
in Coachella, CA that will be released worldwide soon.
She wrote her first screenplay in 2002 and has since optioned two screenplays. She
returned to her rock and roll roots with the release of her coffee table Everybody
I Shot Is Dead, honoring 48 musicians she photographed who have since passed
away. And many of the characters in her forthcoming music driven movie My
First Kiss are inspired by her own experiences in the wild and wonderful
world of rock and roll.

“Cherished myths totally trashed! Horrors!” Mothermyths,
written and illustrated by the inscrutable M.R. Goss, dares to poke fun
at the foibles of one of our most sacred institutions: motherhood. With his characteristic
flair for sardonic humor, the author uses his own bold style of illustration
to debunk one myth after another: eating fish will not make you smart, the human
eyeball is not a magnet for small missiles, and many more. An ideal book for
intelligent pre-teen kids who feel hemmed in by restrictive parents, Mothermyths is
good, clean fun reading. 92 pages, for ages 6 and up.
M.R.
Goss was born in 1967 in Southern California. He adopted writing as a pastime
in 1995, began writing his first novel, the Tetrad, in 2005 and published
it two and a half years later. He has lived in his boyhood home in West Los Angeles
since 1973, has been a licensed radio ham since 1995, and is single.

Love and Other Diversions is Daniel Lambert's
first collection of poetry and prose. Love is a 52-page collection of
poems, stories, and essays. It is not a chapbook in the traditional sense, because
chapbooks generally contain only poetry.
Horror filmmaker and author Adam Barnick (director
of the film Mainstream) has this to say about Love and Other Diversions: "Mr.
Lambert successfully switches genres, themes, and structure with an enlightened
ease that towers over most writers' tendencies to fixate with one idea or theme.
Yet nothing feels unfocused, dispersed, or dishonest. He
touches on love, of course; regret, respect, and reverence for the past; finding
the beauty in all things; sensing the darkness inside as well as beyond man.
He even has time to throw in some much-needed political incorrectness, clever
rhymes that are polar opposites of the Hallmark standard, and some sly humor.
I am definitely on the mailing list for volume II."
Daniel Lambert is from Los Angeles, California. He has
played games such a Call of Cthulhu since the 1980s and writes for the
magazine The Sorcerer's Scrolls. He has taught English at East Los Angeles
College since 2000. His writing appears in the publications Easy Reader, Other
Worlds, Wrapped in Plastic, The Gamer, and Games Unplugged.
His poetry appears in the anthologies The Manuscripter Volume IIandSci-Fi
Fan II.

novel, is Sentia's story. At sixteen summers, she is about to be joined for life
to a man she does not love, while custom forbids her to join with the one she
does. The two young men, submerigible pilots in the service of the rocky and
shaky city of Acqueria, become rivals in pursuit of what is deemed a lofty political
prize, for Sentia is the daughter of the Chief Elder. One of the young men would
destroy his future for her; the other would destroy her for his future. Not wanting
to defy her father, her stepmother or the customs of her people, Sentia is torn.
In her heart, she knows she cannot join without love, and she is fearful the
young man she loves will not fight for her. The solution she chooses at Blood
Moon Ceremony sets in motion a series of events she cannot foresee, but with
which she must come to terms.
"The
Seasons of Sam Rock" is a noir novel with a sense of humor. In it, 1940's
Hollywood detective Sam Rock must find Summer Banning's missing brother, solve
Autumn Moran's vicious murder and discover who's buried in an unmarked grave
or two, freshly dug in the back corner of an unkempt cemetery come winter. Driving
his 1938 black Chevy coupe and sporting his ever-present gray, felt fedora, Sam
moves with ease between the swank parties and the seamy-side of the glamorous
Hollywood façade. Throughout the novel, he is shadowed by a murder of
ravens - their beaks and razor-sharp claws perhaps responsible for some of the
bodies he encounters - and Madame Marie Delacroix, a raven-loving, redheaded
French woman whose husbands tend to die mysteriously. She believes Sam has something
that belongs to her - a little black book he just might have to die for.
